Job Summary: 

The Regulatory Compliance (Private Equity Team), Senior Officers are responsible for performing tasks in accordance with provided operating procedures including, but not limited to:

• Help contribute to KPMG’s Private Equity Center of Excellence by assisting with compliance and regulatory assessments of merger and acquisition activity. 
• Assist with identification and research of new acquisitions and newly affiliated entities related to KPMG US’s key Private Equity client accounts
• Communicate with KPMG partners and professionals globally to collect and store engagement contracts and help determine engagement status and scope within relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Perform basic technical independence research and apply an introductory understanding of the applicable independence rules and regulations
• Offer project management assistance to our Client and assist with special or time-sensitive projects as they arise and ensuring overall Client satisfaction with the delivery of services.
• Actively participate in meetings with the Client’s Risk Management and Audit teams globally, and interact with all levels of management
• Identify opportunities for innovation within executed tasks, processes and projects that contribute to the improved efficiency and effectiveness of the team

Education/Experience

• Minimum three years of work experience (experience in a public accounting firm, a plus)
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university or equivalent work experience
• Background in Risk Management or compliance related experience preferred
• Possesses the ability to independently research deal/transaction activity and to synthetize large volumes of information from multiple sources into effective summaries
• Proficient with MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Strong verbal, written, organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail and demonstrated success in dealing with diverse functional teams
