Support the Implementation of marketing plans and initiatives geared towards effectively promoting the Victoria Mutual image, products and services using a data-driven, analytical approach

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participates in the development of  the Group’s Strategic Marketing Plan in Consultation with the  Manager – Marketing and the Chief  Group Customer and Brand Officer
  • Coordinates, Executes and  Monitors components of the Group’s Strategic Marketing Plan as assigned
  • Reviews incoming requests for promotional events/ activities and make recommendations for selection, as well as independently recommend promotional activities to build the brand.
  • Supervises the scheduling of selected activities and coordination of the resources required for successful completion and measure results from each event.
  • Participates in the development and monitoring of marketing budgets and the effective use of resources to meet the organization’s objectives.
  • Proposes appropriate promotional material and collateral (e.g. Brochures, pamphlets, etc.) for the promotion of products, services and events
  • Confers with department head to discuss topics such as contract proposals, selection of promotional opportunities or products and services to be advertised.
  • Supervises the recruitment and activities of external service providers, such as events promoters,  promotional companies, etc.;
  • Represents the organization to customers, the public, government, and other external sources.
  • Represents organisation and works along with the Operations Executive; the Manager-Marketing, Manager - Public Relations and Communications and business unit managers to manage Victoria Mutual’s presence at expositions, trade shows, exhibits, etc.
  • Collates and prepares monthly Advertising and Promotions reports for review by Marketing Manager.
  • Develops constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, and maintains them over time.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • First Degree in Marketing, Mass Communications, Public Relations, or Business Administration from a recognized tertiary institution or equivalent.
  • Minimum of four (4) years’ experience, three (3) of which should be in the field of Marketing, Public Relations or Advertising at the supervisory level

KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to use digital media to communicate within and beyond the organisation.
  • Experience in knowledge exchange and sharing practice.
  • General knowledge of the financial sector, markets, products and services;
  • Knowledge of Sales and Marketing principles and methods for promoting, and selling products or services;
  • Knowledge of Administration and business management principles involved in budget preparation, human resources management, leadership techniques and coordination of people and resources
  • Ability to lead digital transformation initiatives
