Accountant, ABS

The Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day operational and technical duties of the Finance Department with specific responsibility to the management of the General Ledger function in accordance with Group Policy and procedures.

Job Summary:

The Accountant is responsible for the day-to-day operational and technical duties of the Finance Department with specific responsibility to the management of the General Ledger function in accordance with Group Policy and procedures. He/She will assist with the supervising and directing the Accounting and Finances of ABS Assigned Division.

Responsibilities:
• Assist in the monthly preparation of the company’s Financial Statements, Management Report and Quarterly Consolidations.
• Assist in the preparation of all statutory requirements.
• Responsible for the performance appraisals, staff training and staff development.
• Assist in the preparation of the Annual Budget and Corporate Plan.
• Assist in the preparation of feasibility reports re- Business Proposals.
• Ensure that the Audit process relative to the company’s General Ledger is formulated in a timely and cost efficient manner.
• Participate in the development of and perform all duties in accordance with the procedures set forth in ISO 9001: 2000 standards and the Company’s Quality manual and OSHA standards.
• Promote safety awareness and the development of a safety culture within the company.
• Compliance with Ansa Mcal Group Policies and GAAP
• Management and maintenance of fixed asset register
• Ensure GL balances are a true and accurate reflection of company’s financial position
