Job description:


Primary objective of the job: 

As part of the digital transformation project team for Digicel, this role will lead the commercial engagement with the vendor. The post holder will own the change control process, dependency management, service level reporting, dispute management, commercial risk management and negotiate contract amendments to ensure that the full end to end value of the contract is realized. The Contract Manager will engage with other functions in support of their overall responsibilities, pulling in resources as required to report on the overall performance of the agreement, recommending and implementing improvements as appropriate.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure business case realization through the performance of the vendor
  • Optimize the commercial operation of the agreement
  • Focal point for governance of the agreement
  • Anticipate and manage risks and opportunities as they relate to the vendor, contract and wider Digicel business
  • Commercial performance management of the vendor and contract
  • Manage the change control process and lead any negotiations as appropriate
  • Manage the performance of Digicel dependencies
  • Establish and execute appropriate governance and reporting in relation to the vendor/contract
  • Escalation management
  • Service level performance management
  • Seek opportunities for continuous improvement, taking into account market movements and emerging technologies/commercial models
  • Continue to monitor the performance of the supplier in relation to the Business Case
  • Manage a small team of direct reports and a larger team through a matrix structure

 

Qualifications and Experience required:

  • 7+ years working with outsourced suppliers/3rd parties in a Technology environment
  • Experience of working within a Procurement or Technology function
  • Experience of developing business cases
  • 5 + years’ experience in technology/IT contract negotiation/management
  • 5+ team leadership experience

 

Functional skills and abilities:

  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability to network through complex organizations structures
  • Strong commercial mindset
  • Solid organisational skills and able to convey complex messages to a senior audience
  • Adept problem solver
  • Motivated self-starter, able to create direction and make decisions
