Finance Manager - Corporate Compliance & Reporting

The position is required to ensure that each of the Group's operating subsidiaries are in compliance with the necessary Accounting standards and Head Office reporting requirements. The incumbent will lead each of the Accountants responsible for the financial reporting under each jurisdiction.

The candidate must gain familiarity with the operations of each subsidiary and the interconnected operations of Head Office. The candidate will be required to travel to each of the Group subsidiaries and perform audits on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the Group subsidiaries operate profitably by maximizing revenue and controlling cost and wastage.
• Accurately report the Financial Accounts of the Group Subsidiaries
• Work with each General Manager and Finance head to ensure costs are managed within each entity
• Consistent and Accurate preparation of balance sheets and reconciliations of all sub ledger to general ledger accounts.
• Punctual submission of monthly accounts from each subsidary
• Support each Finance head in preparation of annual budget.
• Minimize risk of bad debts and ensure that receivables are within the required debtor days. 
• Ensure tax compliance with regulations of each country
• Oversee completion of external audit
• Provide Head Office with consolidated information required for comparative analysis and/or decision making.
• Inform and update Head Office of any fraud or irregularities occurring at any subsidiary.
