PROJECT ASSISTANT Salary Ranges from $13k - $15K Contract
Project Assistant
The Project Assistant provides administrative and technical support to the Facilities Department by monitoring the daily maintenance and construction activities at the Caribbean locations via site, office and virtual meetings with an emphasis on quality and cost control, value for money, contract compliance and timely delivery.
1. Supervision of Sites and Locations:
• Responsible for the monitoring and inspection of the workmanship and practices of service providers, contractors, and consultants engaged in construction, remedial, or maintenance works on behalf of PALIG.
• Inspects all on-going activity at PALIG’s sites and locations to ensure adherence to
building codes, plans and specifications.
• Witnesses and documents all tests and quality control activities for compliance with
As required by the prevailing form of contract the contract requirements and best practice.
• Monitors construction and maintenance activities to ensure they are on schedule
• Reports any deviations between terms of engagements and production on PALIG’s sites and locations to the Facilities Manager daily
• Inspects, verifies, and logs all materials delivered to PALIG’s sites and locations required for construction and maintenance activities.
2. Facilities Management Support
• Assists the Facilities Manager in the review of construction and maintenance documentation submitted by contractors, service provider and consultants.
• Assists the Facilities Manager in assessing the performance of contractors, service providers, and consultants.
• Monitors site activities and reports to the Facilities Manager daily any divergence from PALIG’s policies and/or industry standards and best practice.
• Assists the Facilities Manager in the preparation of post and pre- construction documents.
• Monitors construction and maintenance activities and reports and divergence from
industry standards and/or contractual terms to the Facilities Manager daily
• Inspects of PALIG’s locations as required by Facilities Manager.
3. Health & Safety:
• Monitors Occupational Safety and Health guidelines and best practice and reports any
divergence to the Facilities Manager at sites and existing locations

• Any other related duties as may be assigned by the Facilities Manager.
