The Senior Marketing Officer is responsible for the implementation of our marketing plans to drive revenue growth and brand awareness. The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and will have experience in managing different marketing ventures.
Role Summary:
The Senior Marketing Officer role is responsible for implementing marketing strategies while supporting the Commercial Director in overseeing the department’s operations. S/he will organize and attend marketing activities or events to raise brand awareness of the Company’s brands and products.
Core Deliverables:
• Plan advertising and promotional campaigns for products and/or services on a variety of channels (social, print, etc.).
• Accountable for the delivery of high profile and influential marketing campaigns to drive sales and revenue targets.
• Liaise with stakeholders and vendors to promote success of activities and enhance the company’s presence.
• See all ventures through to completion and evaluate their success using various metrics.
• Plan marketing communication strategies to meet our highest priorities and liaise with all members of the retail team to ensure effective delivery.
• Prepare content for the publication of marketing material and oversee distribution.
• Lead marketing projects through cross functional and cross-departmental teams.
• Conduct market research to identify opportunities for promotion and growth and establish the best way to reach target groups.
• Write, edit, and proofread marketing material, which is to be used in different channels.
• Oversee the update of social media platforms / website.
• Coordinate with outside agencies, for example designers, to produce marketing and sales material.
• Analyze the impact of marketing campaigns and prepare measurement reports, findings, and recommendations.
• Write press releases and communicate with the media.
• Draft copy for social media posts, email marketing campaigns and other marketing communications.
• Preparation and submission of purchase order requisitions for all marketing expenses.
• Act as the Brand custodian ensuring brand guidelines are followed across the company.
• Overseeing the Company's merchandizing, within our own stores, pop-ups, events, and within partner distributors, etc.
Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• BSc/BA in Marketing, Business Administration or relevant field.
• 3-4 years’ proven experience as marketing officer or similar role with solid knowledge of marketing techniques and principles.
• Able to think strategically and deliver project goals on time and in full.
• Demonstrable experience of working well in multi-disciplined/cross-functional teams.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to build close-knit relationships with outside agencies and internal colleagues.
• Experience of email marketing packages (e.g. Dotmailer, Smartfocus, Emailcenter) and advanced functionality such as automation.
• Experience managing pages on social media platforms including, but not limited to Instagram & Tik Tok
• Strong leadership and influencing skills.
• Experience using market research.
• Appreciation of the importance of legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong analytical, administrative, and organizational skills and great attention to detail.
• Creative digital skills; Working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, or Illustrator, etc.
• Demonstrable initiative and enthusiasm, and the ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• Google Analytics and advanced Excel.
