JOB DESCRIPTION - STEWARD

Sanitation Worker:

The Sanitation Worker under the directives of the Operations Management is to perform deep and heavy cleaning duties relating to the sanitation and upkeep of the company’s compound.

1. Detail cleaning of the Garbage House after removal of the disposal contents
2. Deep Cleaning of the Eden Dining Area (tables, chairs, reception area, wall mounted fixtures, lights) etc.
3. Detail scrubbing of the restaurant’s patio and prep areas.
4. Perform scrubbing and mopping related work for restaurant floors, Eden dining area, wall fixtures, walls etc.
5. Removal of the garbage units from the restaurant to disposal section.
6. Removal of the spider webs from the various locations (Bliss / Wonderland / Passages / Drive thru / Eden) etc.
7. Detail cleaning of the stoves, fryers, pots, pans etc.  within the restaurant’s Kitchen area.
8. Detail cleaning of the external wash up areas.
9. Ensure that all “trash” and “debris” are removed from in and around the restaurant area.
10. Inspect equipment used for cleaning to ensure that they are in good working conditions.
11. Ensure, with the required approval from management the safe disposal of hazardous materials, chemicals etc. 
12. Perform cleaning inspections of the areas assigned for cleaning
13. Consistently maintain all day to day operations of sanitation.

Job Skills Required:

ü  Long, busy days on your feet are the trademark of this job.

ü  Formal cleaning training,

ü  Previous Restaurant and/or Cleaning Experience

ü  Restaurant Industry Knowledge

Internal Liaison:

• Executive Management / Management Team / Operations Teams / Co-workers

Qualifications:

1. A valid Food Handler’s Permit
2. Minimum of 2-5 years experience required in a restaurant environment
3. Regional Passes or Certifications in Food and Beverage Management
4. Full time flexible hours are required (able to work days, nights, weekends, holidays).
5. Professional appearance appropriates a food establishment
