Finance Analyst

The Finance Analyst will play a supporting role to the Planning & Budget Manager in various accounting, financial planning, financial reporting and budget functions according to the financial policy of the company in order to obtain an optimal control of expenses.

Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual board report to include Financials Performance and Overall Business Performance Analysis. 

Support the delivery of the forecasting, budgeting and other forward planning activities (3-year Strategic Action Plan, the Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and the Latest Estimates). 

Conduct Cost Centre Budget reviews and provide monthly reporting of actual spend versus plan. · Monitor CAPEX spend and provide progress updates on all projects. 

Monitor actual cost development vs forecast and provide variance analysis 

Monitor and manage the variable expenses and OBZ of the operation, in order to review the charges and records. 

Track cost drivers by department and provide early warnings on deviations for the company as a whole. 

Ensure all financial reports are submitted within deadline, and all resulting queries cleared. 

Ensure that all intercompany cross charges are prepared accurately and timely. 

Develop financial models. 

Request creation of cost centers, applications, budget transfers and savings, in order that expenses are correctly allocated to the area they belong to. 

Prepare finance KPI’s report on a monthly basis and identify opportunities for improvement. 

Provide cost and general ledger accounting support during the month and annually for the month/year end close, including journal entries, and account analysis. 

Support the month end closure by conduct analytical reviews. 

Prepare balance sheet schedules as per the General Ledger Ownership Matrix (GLOM) 

Perform ad hoc projects and financial evaluation as requested
