Overview:

 

Our client is a leading luxury hotel based in the beautiful British Virgin Islands. Due to rapid growth, they are seeking a proven professional from the hospitality sector to assist the General Manager with the smooth running of the resort. The Personal Assistant is responsible to provide a full range of executive and administrative support activities for the General Manager, inclusive of highly confidential and sensitive matters to ensure smooth operation of the executive office. This position comes with an attractive relocation package to CARICOM state citizens including salary, accommodation, food and travel.

 

Duties:

 

  • Responsible for the smooth running of the General Manager’s office
  • Carry out events administration, duty rostering, duty management, diary management, inbox management and general administration.
  • Schedule meetings, appointments and prepare reports, minutes as required.
  • Producing all reports, communications from the General Manager’s office.
  • Assist the General Manager in the smooth running of the Business Processes.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills with impeccable multi-tasking abilities.
  • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality and trust.

Qualifications / Experience

 

  • Minimum of three years in a similar role in a luxury hospitality environment
  • Experiential knowledge of luxury hotel Reservations and Front Office department operations
  • Professional certification in secretarial/administration ideal.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Working knowledge of Opera system
  • Capable of carrying out a duty manager shift
  • Ability to create rostering for multiple departments
  • Ability to manage Admin management for events and day to day operations.
  • Exceptional written and spoken communication skills – excellent command of English language
  • Flexible and unflappable (able to manage changes/ special requests with confidence)
  • Emotionally intelligent - especially across different cultural groups, high-net worth and/ influential guests, nationalities and stakeholder interests.
  • Highly  self-motivated,  professional,  and  capable  of  managing  their  workload  and prioritizing tasks.
