ACCOUNTING CLERK

 

Lubricating Specialties Company Jamaica Limited is recruiting the talent of a qualified and experience Accounting Clerk. This role requires the preparation of accounting reports, reconciliation Inter-Company accounts, audit schedules and any other function deemed necessary

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the following responsibilities below
    • Financial Statements Preparation
    • Preparation of bank reconciliation
    • Preparation of GCT returns and other statutories
    • Preparation of audit schedules
    • Payables, Receivables
    • Customer Invoicing
  • Providing accounting and clerical assistance to the accounting department
  • Prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Preparing bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
  • Use accounting software programs (e.g., Oracle) to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts
  • Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
  • Daily entry of key data financial transactions in database
  • Provide assistance and support to company personnel and discrepancies
  • Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
  • Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate Degree in Accounting, or:
    • Minimum three (2) years’ experience in as similar position preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with accounting software packages such as Oracle, SAP, preferred
    • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Applications in particular Excel.
    • Unquestionable work ethics with a keen attention to details.
    • Must be a team player
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline.
