Our Client, based in the Turks and Caicos Islands is seeking to recruit an Electrical Solar Foreman to lead the installation of all electrical components on a utility scale solar project. Must have prior experience with solar energy systems. Work Permit provided.

Job Location:  Turks & Caicos Islands

Our client is a provider of solar solutions - residential and commercial - and is seeking an experienced Electrical Solar Foreman for its operations in Turks and Caicos Islands.

Qualifying Criteria: 

  • Must be a qualified Electrician/ Electrical Technician
  • (5) five or more years’ experience working with solar systems in utility scale projects, specifically with the installation of ground mount systems
  • Willing to relocate to Turks and Caicos Islands

Job Specific Skills/Abilities: 

  • Demonstrate high Electrical Installation Skill Level
  • Highly proficient in reading and understanding plans
  • Familiar with Helioscope or other solar tools
  • Ability to read shop and manufacturer installation manuals
  • Experience in utility scale solar projects
  • Experience in roof mount systems desirable but not essential

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To perform all responsibilities in leading the installation of all electrical components on a utility scale solar project, including assemblies
  • Offer feedback during and at completion of job
  • Use skills developed to work safely, efficiently, and correctly
  • Production/Productivity units, rates and reporting
    • Utilize daily task planning tools
    • Demonstrate ability to consistently improve productivities of crews
    • Ability to manage labour budgets per project
    • Find and implement ways to improve installation and install times
    • Manage teams’ timesheets and weekly productivity review
    • Use plan sets to determine proper locations, sizes, and installation of module installation
    • Work directly with field engineers ensuring drawings and submittal updates are incorporated into field construction
    • Materials and Equipment Management
    • Plan, schedule, procure, inventory and maintenance for small tools, equipment and outside tool rentals
    • Effectively lead, train and mentor all site operatives and outsourced personnel
    • Jobsite safety leader, passing our safety culture to front line crews
      • Attend and contribute weekly to tailgate meetings
      • Understand how to fill out various QC inspection forms as needed to assist the project team in project completion
