Credit Manager

PBS Technologies (Trinidad) Limited is seeking a dynamic individual to accept the role of Credit Manager. The position requires you to lead a team to ensure the effective management of the Company's credit function and collections services in accordance with the Company's standards and targets.

JOB SUMMARY

PBS Technologies (Trinidad) Limited is seeking a dynamic individual to accept the role of Credit Manager to operate out of our Curepe location. 

The position requires you to lead a department of credit and collections personnel in the provision of credit management and collections services to the Company.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver service excellence daily in keeping with the company’s Customer Service Philosophy and standards
• Manage and lead a department of credit and collections personnel in achieving the Company’s, Department’s, and individuals’ targets
• Develop, administer and enforce credit and collection policies and procedures
• Reduce exposure to credit risk and bad debt write-off
• Review accounts receivable ageing reports
• Manage the relationship with third party debt collectors
• Manage customer relationships
• Approve credit accounts and setting credit limits
• Ensure that team members conform to the Departments record keeping and reporting requirements
• Coach and mentor team members
• Analysis with action plan for resolution for the Top 20 aged AR balances; to be followed up on a weekly basis

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or Finance, or equivalent
• At least 8 years experience is Credit Management 
• At least three years’ experience at a managerial level and in a credit/collections environment
• Knowledge of Collection Laws and Practices including Repossessions, Legal Actions, Liquidations, Recoveries and
• Sound working knowledge of Accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Accounting Information System
• Knowledge of Industrial Relations Principles and Practices
• Good oral/written communication and presentation skills

• Ability to deliver training effectively
• Ability to learn new technology quickly and be able to impart knowledge to others
