On behalf of our client Jamaican Medical Cannabis Collective, JMCC, Caribbean HR Solutions is soliciting candidates to apply for the following role:

Facilities Manager
The primary role of the Facilities Manager is to ensure that the facilities are maintained in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner, while adhering to all local regulatory guidelines and being cognizant of the need to the preserve the general environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee all maintenance activities at each location;
  • Proactively schedules maintenance of all machines, equipment, facilities and grounds;
  • Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget;
  • Ensure that adequate resources are available at all times to support maintenance activities;
  • Create processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for key maintenance related roles;
  • Monitor staff to ensure compliance with all relevant processes and procedures;
  • Ensure that all work areas are conducive for their respective activities and are free of hazard;
  • Objectively manage and evaluate the relationship with third party maintenance contractors and service providers;
  • Ensure that all green areas to include plants and lawn are exquisitely maintained;
  • Monitor the optimal upkeep of all eating and bathroom facilities;
  • Implement programs to ensure optimal sanitation systems are in place for all locations;
  • Analyze utilities’ data and proactively implement energy and cost saving strategies;
  • Proactively support the company's culture of environmental responsibility;
  • Steward the emergency risk management program by leading staff awareness initiatives and coordinating periodic drills;
  • Effectively conduct periodic safety audits to identify risks and hazards;
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of five (5) years’ working experience in facilities/maintenance management;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or other relevant qualification, from a recognized tertiary institution;
  • Ability to respond appropriately in an emergency;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Exposure to cultivation would be deemed an asset;
  • Flexibility in working extended hours;
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills;
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills;
  • A team player with strong leadership abilities;
  • Excellent use of computer software applications.
