We are seeking a suitable candidate to join our Treasury & Asset Management team in the capacity of:

Investment Analyst

Conduct analysis for alternative investments along with macro level economic (local & global) research.

Provide support to the Manager – Investment Analyst & Product Development Manager at a level that will enhance the effective operation of the department and the achievement of the divisions’ goals.

**Will require site visits for real estate development projects.

As an Investment Analyst, you will:

• Monitor existing assets across investment portfolios for pension funds, insurance funds and collective investment schemes.
• Analyze capital market issues - private debt and private equity for suitability and inclusion across the managed funds.
• Conduct research on and evaluate the performance of selected companies listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange.
• Prepare feasibility studies to determine the viability of residential and commercial real estate developments.
• Liaise with professionals retained for each Real Estate project to maintain and provide progress report updates.
• Review expenditure reports as provided by Project Managers, Finance and/or Treasury to reconcile to real estate development budgets.
• Provide analytical support to all areas of the unit.
• Perform other related duties assigned from time to time.

What do you need?

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Mathematics, Business Administration or similar area of study or an equivalent qualification from a recognized tertiary institution.
• The Jamaica Institute of Management Securities Course or its equivalent would be an asset.
• Three (3) years’ working experience in the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of financial market and what drives the capital markets.
• Working Knowledge of financial analysis models.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Bloomberg.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both written and oral form.
