KPMG Caricom now invites a collaborative, seasoned and dynamic professional, who is ready to join our growing team as Director, Risk Management Operations. The role involves supporting compliance with quality and risk management policies and procedures. This includes developing training, providing guidance, monitoring compliance, answering questions, helping to support the maintenance of related documentation and launching new policies and processes. The Director, Risk Management Operations, KPMG Caricom, reports to the Risk Management Partner, KPMG Caricom.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
Professional qualifications and experience required include:
- A degree(s), professional certification(s) or professional designation(s) in one or more of the following areas:
- Accounting
- Risk Management
- Management or Business Administration
- Finance or Economics
Postgraduate degrees are not mandatory but may also be beneficial.
- Seven years' or more of client service experience in a large professional services firm or similar environment, or in an independence or risk management role, preferred.
- Track record of continuous learning.
- Previous work experience in the Caribbean, or working with Caribbean professionals, or multi-cultural teams would be an asset.

- Action-oriented to increase compliance and decrease other risk factors
- Recognized as being a change agent and promoter of quality initiatives
- Reliable and dependable, and ability to work in a deadline driven environment
- Aware of the sensitivity of information received and treat it appropriately
- Able to successfully utilize technology to work in a paper-free environment
- Proven ability for building, managing, directing and mentoring a customer-focused team that delivers:
- Continuous improvement,
- Support to the professionals,
- Consistent compliance processes, and
- Successful on-time projects.
EXPECTATIONS
- Lead the KPMG Caricom Risk Management and Compliance team across multiple jurisdictions in implementing and monitoring compliance with KPMG’s global and local quality and risk management policies and procedures.
- Support the Risk Management Partner, KPMG Caricom, in the accountability for quality and risk management policies.
- Contribute to setting a strong tone at the top with an emphasis on integrity, quality, and compliance.
Other responsibilities
- Identify, manage, mitigate, and report on risk and quality matters.
- Be accountable for action plans, issues management and meeting deadlines, for quality and risk management deliverables.
- Develop and implement risk management procedures and controls.
- Prepare reports and other information for communicating risk management and compliance matters.
- Implement and monitor compliance with global and local risk management policies and procedures.
