Tax Senior Associate (KPMG-JM)

The successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of overseeing and ensuring the delivery of Tax engagements from planning through to completion.

KPMG in Jamaica is seeking to hire a dynamic, results-oriented and highly motivated Senior Associate for its growing Tax Practice . The successful candidates will be involved in aspects of overseeing and ensuring the delivery of Tax engagements from planning through to completion. Your role will include executive level client interaction and provide you with exposure to multiple clients on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• The successful candidates will be involved in planning and project managing aspects of the role Including:
• Drafting tax advice for approval by the Tax Manager/Partner and subsequent issue to clients based on clients’ request for information or based on an advisory engagement.
• Analyzing financial statements and reports and suggest  business and tax advice and planning for audit and non-audit clients.
• Representing the firm at client’s premises throughout the  execution of the various assignments.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate degree in Accounting or Taxation and/or professional accounting qualification
• Completed level III ACCA, or CPA examinations ;
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in tax compliance and tax advisory services in a Big 4 Firm or relevant entity

Key Skills

• Excellent Project Management skills;
• Proficiency in English, both written and spoken;
• Excellent interpersonal skills and willingness to adapt to a  multi-cultural experience;
• Experience in a supervisory capacity; and
• Expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with PowerPoint and Access would be an advantage.
