Procurement Manager will spearhead the purchasing process from selecting suppliers to ensuring stock optimization, as well as provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes.
Responsibilities:
Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective, making the department a competitive differentiator who delivers greater value internally
Ability to influence and strategically partner with appropriate departments and lines of business
Enterprise focus to maximize total value and drive consistency; rigor in measuring value delivered—provides both hard and soft value to the company
Manage the group office facilities sustainability function which focuses on lowering cost, resource use reductions, enhancing environmental performance, and embracing new technologies in the operation
Performing risk assessments on current contracts/agreements by reviewing existing contracts with suppliers/vendors to ensure on-going feasibility
If required, sourcing and engaging new reliable suppliers/vendors
Negotiating with suppliers/vendors to secure advantageous terms
Building and maintaining long-term relationships with vendors/suppliers
Controlling the procurement budget and promoting a culture of long-term saving on procurement costs
Overseeing and managing the IT systems that track shipments, inventory, and the supply of goods
Preparing procurement reports
Requirements:
BSc in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related field
At least 6 years’ experience in procurement
Strong leadership capabilities
Ability to gather and analyze data and work with figures
A knack for negotiation and networking
Interest in market dynamics along with good business sense
Organized
Communicates well
Structured
Relationship builder
Places equal emphasis on their suppliers similar to customers
