ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced candidate to fill the position of Credit Solutions Analyst - JN Bank Limited. The incumbent will be responsible for contributing to the profitable growth of the bank’s credit portfolio by assessing and analyzing the credit worthiness of Business Banking clients. The Credit Solutions Analyst will be required to directly interface with clients in partnership with the respective Business Banker and from time to time is expected to visit clients as part of the credit assessment process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review the credit worthiness of all commercial loan applications, identify key risk factors related to these applications and develop a well-informed and balanced view of the borrower.
Appropriately structure credits and prepare written credit proposals for presentation and approval from the various adjudicating bodies
Ensure high level of service is maintained and that credit applications are presented in a professional and timely manner
In conjunction with the Credit Risk Management Unit, monitor credits to effectively manage the credit quality of the portfolio within agreed limits in relation to delinquencies, non-performing ratios and established concentration limits
Monitor credits to ensure that terms, conditions and covenants are adhered to at all times
Periodically conduct reviews of the Business Credit Portfolio to determine any deterioration in the risk rating of each credit and to make appropriate recommendations or take corrective action as may be required from time to time to improve the health of the portfolio
Ensure that the required information to conduct the review of the Credit Portfolio is requested at least three (3) months prior to expiry of facilities.
Ensuring that credits are in compliance with the company’s Credit Policy and any pertinent regulations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
BSc. in Finance, Economics, Banking& Finance or related discipline.
Minimum of five (5) years working experience in the Financial Services Industry
Detailed knowledge of commercial and corporate lending practices and credit analysis with proven ability to assess credit risk
Thorough knowledge of the Banking Services Act, the Banking Amendment Act and the BOJ Regulations regarding Credit Classification, Provisioning and Non-Accrual requirements
