The Inventory Store Clerk supports the smooth operation of our plant by ensuring effective inventory control, timely issuance of materials, and proper storage of supplies
We are seeking a detail-oriented, organized, and dependable Inventory Store Clerk to join our team at Clarendon Distillers Limited. This important role supports the smooth operation of our plant by ensuring effective inventory control, timely issuance of materials, and proper storage of supplies. KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Work closely with the Inventory Controller to establish and monitor reorder levels to ensure consistent stock availability.
- Assist with the team with stock counts as required.
- Prepare purchase order requisitions and or request preliminary quotations to inform the procurement process.
- Ensure issue notes are properly coded and documented.
- Prepare goods receival notes and ensure that proper record is always kept.
- Uphold in the strictest of sense the security protocols of storage areas, along with its contents
- Ensure that the store area is clean, tidy and free of hazards at all times.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Five (5) CSEC subjects, including Mathematics, English Language, and Accounts.
- At least one (1) year work experience in a similar position, preferably in a distillery environment.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft suite.
- Other suitable and compatible qualification and experiences may be considered

- Inventory Control & Accuracy: Demonstrate strong attention to detail in receiving, recording, storing, and issuing inventory to ensure accurate stock levels and proper documentation.
- Organization & Time Management: Effectively organize storage areas and prioritize tasks to support timely issuance of materials in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Safety Conscious: Adhere to workplace safety procedures, including proper handling, storage, and movement of materials in keeping with company and OSHA-aligned standards.
- Communication & Teamwork: Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, maintenance teams, and suppliers, fostering a cooperative and respectful work environment.
