Regional manufacturing group seeks an experienced Finance Leader to join their Jamaica-based team. Drive strategy, compliance, and performance in a growing, dynamic environment.

Overview: Our client is a well-established regional group of companies which manufacture, distributes, and retails paint, accessories, and high-performance coatings across the region.

Due to expansion of its regional base, they are seeking a strategic and results-oriented finance professional with strong analytical and compliance expertise to join the Jamaica-based team.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation of financial reports, plans, forecasts, budgets, reconciliation, audits and taxation to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Monitor cash flow, expenses, revenues and financial performance.  Implement financial management procedures and controls.
  • Conduct risk management and competitive analysis.  Advise on potential financial risks and provide recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
  • Manage investments and capital activities. Identify cost reduction and analyze trends.

 

Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance / business with at least 5 years’ experience in a Finance leadership role; OR completion of ACCA or similar accounting designation with 4 years’ experience in a Finance leadership role.
  • Proficient in accounting systems, with specific experience in SAGE and/or similar ERP and accounting systems. Experience with SAGE Intacct would be an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for SMEs.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving.
  • High level of interpersonal, communication and leadership skills across a diverse community.
  • Sound knowledge of MS Office suite, especially in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Detail-oriented, with a readiness to Champion best practices.
  • Open to learning, adaptability, and innovation with a growth mindset.
