The Estates Surveyor reports to the Senior Estates Surveyor and is responsible for managing a multi-million dollar portfolio of Government real estate and providing specialist property advice and recommendations to the Senior Estates Surveyor, Chief Surveyor, Permanent Secretary and Minister of Public Works. In addition, the post is accountable for ensuring that the Departments and Ministries assigned to it, are provided with professional estate management services to ensure that their real estate needs are met in order for them to provide services to the public.
Applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Estates Management or equivalent, and be a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Valuation or Commercial Property Faculty) and be qualified for registration as a Professional Surveyor in Bermuda. A minimum of three years’ post qualification (MRICS) experience in estates management and valuation is required. Computer literacy and familiarity with property orientated IT systems is essential.
