ELECTRICAL MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

The Electrical Maintenance Technician’s responsibility is to repair wiring, electrical fixtures, power equipment, and components of machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, specifications, schematics, works site directions, and blueprints.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Respond quickly to all service requests and efficiently repair electrical systems
• Work rapidly without compromising quality in order to minimize down times
• Communicate estimated timelines for repairs to those impacted
• Conduct tests , assessments and repairs to ensure quality
• Commit to compliance with all safety standard and regulations at all times
• Perform preventative maintenance to stay ahead of potential issues
• Troubleshoot all problems effectively, performing quality, lasting repairs
• Test and repair fixtures to minimize cost
• Log all services and report progress to management
• Always seek the solution that is most cost effective without compromising quality
• Assess systems and suggest modifications to prevent future issues
• Maintain all equipment in excellent working order
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Ensures the maintenance plan is followed and that the KPI’s and personal objectives are met.
• Ensures that the maintenance work is done in a safely manner with all required resources available to perform any outstanding job.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Electrical or Electrical certificates
• Wireman’s License
• Knowledge of Testing Services Product Line range of services & products
• Ability to formulate thought processes necessary for an efficient troubleshooting
• Ability to communicate with supervisors and to share knowledge with other staff.
• Customer oriented, actively communicates with internal and/or external customers to ensure service level meets with expectations, understands customers' business direction, anticipating their needs and sets high standards of service.
