We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative to promote services to new and existing customers.

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative to promote services to new and existing customers and negotiate contracts with the aim of maximising profits, meeting targets and continuously signing new clients.

This role is responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients, managing inquiries, and proactively driving sales through effective communication and relationship-building.

A Customer Service & Inside Sales Representative is a key point of contact between our organisation and its clients: answering queries, offering advice, maintaining relations and selling the services of the Company while projecting a positive professional image for the Company.


Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

  • Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, social media and chat.
  • Resolve customer complaints and issues with professionalism and empathy.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Provide product information, pricing, and availability.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction.

Inside Sales:

  • Identify and qualify sales opportunities from inbound leads and existing accounts.
  • Make outbound calls to follow up on inquiries and promote products/services.
  • Prepare and send quotes, proposals, and follow-up documentation.
  • Meet or exceed monthly sales targets and KPIs.
  • Maintain CRM records and update customer profiles.
  • Promoting and selling services to existing and prospective customers
  • Establishing, developing and maintaining positive business and customer relations
  • Conducting client meetings in house
  • Reach out to clients through cold calling
  • Identifying and targeting of prospective business
  • Coordinate sales effort with team members and other departments
  • Analyse the market potential, track sales and status reports
  • Supply management with information on customers’ needs, problems, interest, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
  • Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends
  • Prepare and submit weekly reports/updates on sales calls and market information to Management
  • Prepare a weekly client list for targeting – minimum 20 per week
  • Keeping current on industry trends market activities and competitors
  • Participate on behalf of the Company in trade exhibitions, conferences, and meetings locally and overseas
  • Maintaining accurate records of cargo movements, per client, per line, per vessel per week, per month.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Liaising with team to keep abreast of customer needs and customer experience.
  • Liaising with Operations Department/ Shipping Lines to keep current with vessel sailings, container availability, and changes in vessel schedule.
  • Liaising with Accounts Department to keep abreast of any credit issues with customers
  • Communicating with Team members for any logistics support needed by clients
  • Keeping abreast of client needs to address any concerns they may have

 


Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. degree or equivalent in Marketing or Logistics
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or inside sales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

 


Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in [industry-specific experience, e.g., manufacturing, software, retail].
  • Familiarity with sales techniques and customer retention strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to build business professional relationships
