The Manager oversees pipeline performance, executes commercial plans, drives customer acquisition and retention, expands market share, and ensures brand consistency and campaign effectiveness. This role is central to building a high-performance commercial culture and ensuring that revenue targets are achieved each month.

 

Core Responsibilities

 

1. Commercial Leadership & Strategy Execution

- Lead the development and execution of the commercial plan for each business unit.

- Oversee monthly revenue targets, sales forecasting, and pipeline performance.

- Guide Commercial Sales Coordinators in daily sales execution, outreach, quotations, and conversion.

- Work closely with Marketing Coordinator to align campaigns with revenue priorities.

- Segment markets and customer groups to define sales approach per industry, sector, and revenue potential.

- Present weekly and monthly commercial performance dashboards to leadership.

 

2. Sales Management & Revenue Growth

- Own and deliver monthly revenue targets for assigned business units.

- Manage the full sales process: acquisition → qualification → conversion → retention → growth.

- Support key account management, ensuring high-value customers receive proactive service.

- Identify upsell, cross-sell, and volume opportunities across product lines and service categories.

- Conduct weekly sales huddles; mentor coordinators and representatives to improve performance.

- Review and approve all quotations, pricing exceptions, and discount requests within DOA.

 

3. Marketing, Branding & Campaign Alignment

- Oversee the Marketing Coordinator to ensure cohesive brand presence across digital, radio, print, OOH, and direct outreach channels.

- Ensure all marketing campaigns support revenue targets and priority customer segments.

- Track and report campaign performance, lead generation, cost efficiency, and sales uplift.

- Ensure consistent messaging and brand standards across all customer-facing materials.

- Guide the production of sales scripts, flyers, outreach content, partner proposals, and promotional materials.

 

4. Operational Coordination & Service Delivery

- Ensure operational capacity aligns with sales commitments across production, dispatch, brokerage, trucking, and warehousing.

- Coordinate with Operations, Dispatch, and Brokerage to resolve service delays, customer issues, and scheduling conflicts.

- Strengthen internal communication between sales, operations, customer service, and finance.

- Support billing accuracy, payment follow-up, and account reconciliation processes.

 

5. Leadership, Team Development & Capability Building

- Provide day-to-day leadership and coaching to Commercial Sales Coordinators and Marketing Coordinators.

- Set clear KPIs and weekly expectations for outreach, pipeline updates, campaigns, and service delivery.

- Conduct performance discussions, identify training needs, and implement development plans.

- Promote a culture of accountability, customer focus, and high performance.

- Ensure team adherence to CRM and reporting requirements.

 

6. Compliance, Reporting & Documentation

- Maintain accurate reporting of sales, pipeline, forecasts, and customer activity.

- Ensure compliance with company policies, pricing controls, DOA, and safety protocols.

- Support audits and internal reviews related to customer documentation and service contracts.

- Track market trends, competitor positioning, pricing shifts, and customer insights; provide recommendations to leadership.

Revenue & Sales KPIs

- Monthly revenue target achievement (per business unit)

- Lead-to-conversion rate ≥ 30–40%

- New customer acquisition: 15–20 per month across teams

- Repeat customer revenue: minimum 60%

- Customer retention rate ≥ 90% for key accounts

- Forecast accuracy ≥ 90%

 

Marketing & Campaign KPIs

- Marketing campaign activation: 100% on-time

- Weekly campaign performance reporting

- Minimum 50 targeted outbound contacts per coordinator per campaign

- Growth in engagement, inquiries, and lead flow per channel

 

Team & Compliance KPIs

- CRM accuracy: daily updates; 100% weekly compliance

- Weekly commercial huddle execution with minutes and dashboards

- Completion of monthly coaching/training sessions

- Zero discrepancies in quotations, pricing, or customer documentation

- Complaint resolution within 48 hours

 

Qualifications, Skills & Leadership Competencies

 

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Logistics, or related field (preferred).

- Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in sales, commercial operations, or business development.

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in supervising sales or marketing teams.

- Experience in construction, logistics, brokerage, or shipping is a strong advantage.

- Advanced skills in CRM systems, sales reporting, and data-driven decision-making.
