Cementing Specialist Trainee

The Cementing Specialist Trainee assists with modeling, procedures, reporting, equipment checks, lab testing, field operations, material tracking, and database updates, while gaining hands-on experience across cementing practices.

JOB SUMMARY

The Cementing Specialist Trainee works under the supervision of the Cementing Specialists in performing software modeling for hydraulics and centralization; assists in preparation of cementing procedures, data compilation and end of well reports; and supports in performing quality assurance and quality control checks for cementing equipment as required. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• BSc. in Engineering or a related technical field.
• At least 1 – 2 years of experience in oilfield services (preferred but not required).

• Strong computer literacy and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork ability.

FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in developing Cementing Job Designs and technical procedures.
• Support Cement lab testing, equipment checks, and QA/QC processes.
• Participate in post-job analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to material reconciliation and Cementing Data Management.
• Engage with clients and cross-functional teams for Job Planning and Execution.
• Adhere to world-class safety and environmental standards.
