Key Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager will be fully responsible for the performance of the sales team
Monitor and manage a team schedule – ensure all appointments are executed properly and to Blinds Designs standards – ensuring the customer has been properly advised as well as satisfied with the level of customer service they receive
Liaise with sales team and customer to ensure orders are accurate
Provide feedback to the sales team regarding their performance and provide techniques for improvement, including training and coaching when needed
Develop, implement and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets
Conduct market research, analyze trends, and identify customer needs to support business growth
The Business Development Manager is required to stay updated on industry trends to ensure our product offerings remain competitive
Generate leads through cold calling prospective customers or networking at trade shows, open houses etc.
Develop and maintain relationships with key customer accounts for example, government ministries, corporations, contractors/ developers, decorators, realtors and repeat customers
Create new strategies and procedures to increase efficiency when needed
Promptly respond to client calls, e-mails, and live chats in accordance with our policies and procedures
Handle all customer concerns or complaints in a timely manner
Provide customers with product and general information
The Business Development Manager will be required to learn the technicalities and functions of each product, including but not limited to materials and accurate measurements
Able to work a flexible schedule including weekends based on business needs
