The Accountant is responsible for managing financial records, ensuring the accuracy of financial statements, and supporting the organization’s financial planning and compliance. This role involves preparing reports, analyzing financial data, reconciling accounts, and ensuring adherence to accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Recordkeeping & Reporting
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and financial discrepancies.
  • Ensure all financial transactions are recorded in accordance with accounting principles.
Accounts Payable & Receivable
  • Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Manage vendor and customer account records.
Budgeting & Forecasting
  • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance and highlight variances.
  • Support management with financial analysis and recommendations.
Compliance & Audit
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and company policies.
  • Prepare tax filings and assist with external and internal audits.
  • Maintain proper documentation for audit purposes.
Financial Analysis
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Prepare management reports and financial summaries.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Professional certifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) are an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Sage).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
