ACCOUNTING CLERK - LAW FIRM

 Law Firm in MANDEVILLE, MANCHESTER is seeking a solution-oriented, mobile, energetic and technology-proficient individual to provide support to Managing Partner

 Key Functions

  • Regularly update billing on client files by generating statements of account and relevant invoices
  • Aggressively and actively manage outstanding invoices and other receivables
  • Using bookkeeping databases, spreadsheets and software
  • Posting financial transactions in databases
  • Receiving and recording vouchers, cash and checks
  • Producing a variety of reports including statements of account, income reports and monthly/quarterly reports
  • Checking for accuracy in reports, figures and postings
  • Reconciling and reporting any discrepancies found in the records
  • Interacting with management, customers, vendors and customers to ensure proper accounting of all payments in and out
  • Manage payroll tasks
  • Provide assistance in filing GCT and Income Tax returns etc

Minimum Requirements

  • A First-Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution in the area of Business Administration, Accounting, Law, Project Management, Communication or some field relevant to the job functions above;
  • Extremely proficient in the use of Quickbooks Accounting Software, office computer technology generally, to include use of Microsoft Office Suite, Web Browsers, Email Clients and social media;
  • Must possess excellent written and oral skills
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
