The Server will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the venue and delivering an exceptional experience for our guests. They will also be responsible for instructing and monitoring guests on all safety aspects regarding the batting experience.

Position Overview

The Server will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the venue and delivering an exceptional experience for our guests. They will also be responsible for instructing and monitoring guests on all safety aspects regarding the batting experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival, providing information about the venue, current promotions, and events.
  • Carry out the guest induction, highlighting the safety instructions, setting guests up in batting net system and explaining the gaming play.
  • Monitor guests to ensure that the safety instructions are adhered to and the batting net system is operating smoothly.
  • Assist customers with seating arrangements, taking reservations, and accommodating special requests to ensure their comfort and satisfaction.
  • Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently while making recommendations and delivering items to tables in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the dining and socializing areas, including clearing tables, sanitizing surfaces, and replenishing supplies.
  • Monitor the needs of guests and anticipate any additional requirements, providing assistance and addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination between the front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
  • Assist with basic bar duties, such as restocking, preparing garnishes, and assisting bartenders during busy periods.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures, to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for staff and guests.

 

Key Attributes

  • Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in a restaurant, bar, or hospitality setting.
  • Friendly and outgoing personality with excellent communication skills and a passion for providing exceptional service.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking and prioritizing tasks.
  • Team player mentality with a willingness to collaborate and support colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving customer needs and concerns.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the needs of the business.
