Reporting to:            Production Supervisor                           

Job Summary

To utilise welding skills to manufacture poducts, assist with the supervision of the welding functions of the factory and work with installation teams to ensure timely completion of quality work.

• Supervises other employees when needed.

Processes:

• Assesses jobs, develops and implements plans to determine the requirements for completion within the required deadline. 
• Assists with the calculation of bill of quantities (BOQ’s) for quotations and in house/into production jobs.
• Provides daily updates/reports on the status of all jobs to the Production Supervisor.
• Assists with the supervision of welding teams in the factory as need requires.
• Works after regular hours and on weekends to ensure all jobs are completed timely.
• Ensures that factory equipment is clean, safe and organised.
• Ensures highest standards and safety precautions are in both the factory setting and installation of signs.
• Inspects jobs on completion to ensure quality control prior to leaving the factory.
• Ensures that plant and equipment maintenance is carried out routinely.
• Develops methods to promote quality improvement and employee productivity.
• Any other duties as assigned.

• Responds and acts on customers’ requests (internal and external) with the appropriate sense of urgency.

Productivity:

• Performs preventative maintenance and upkeep on equipment.
