Position Overview

The General Manager will lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of the venue. They will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the venue's operations, including staff management, customer service, financial performance, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and motivate a team of staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Ensure the highest standards of customer service are maintained at all times, creating a welcoming and enjoyable environment for patrons.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including bar service, food service, facility maintenance, and cleanliness.
  • Cross-train in all aspects of the venue’s operations and be available to fill any position if required.
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive revenue growth, including marketing initiatives, promotions, and special events.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering, and supplier relationships to optimize profitability and minimize waste.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability, and take proactive measures to achieve targets.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work culture, promoting teamwork, communication, and staff morale.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customer feedback, resolving any issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

 

Key Attributes

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality or entertainment industry, preferably with a focus on bars, restaurants, or sports venues.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff and customers from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving financial targets.
  • Sound knowledge of bar operations, including beverage service, inventory management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
