Our client is seeking a front desk coordinator to handle guest issues, check-ins, room assignments, coordinate with housekeeping, and assist in management tasks like hiring, training, and safety standards.

JOB OPPORTUNITY

Front Desk Coordinator (Permanent Full-Time)

Industry: Hospitality & Tourism

Location: Port-of-Spain

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Associate Degree in a related field
  • Spanish would be an asset
  • Knowledge of Opera and Micros Symphony systems would be an asset
  • Experienced in leading a team of 10 persons or more
  • Experienced leading in a customer service/guest facing position
  • Experienced in executing special projects and initiatives
  • Experienced in training and developing team members

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • You may be required to work shift hours beyond the standard work week to meet project deadlines or address unexpected tasks
  • Answer phones, use clear language, exchange information discreetly
  • Handle emergencies, maintain awareness of individuals on premises, follow safety procedures, correct unsafe conditions
  • Maintain privacy, follow company policies, ensure cleanliness and professionalism
  • Address guest needs, welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities
  • Conduct interviews, train employees, set goals, review performance, coordinate tasks
  • Adhere to quality standards, monitor performance of others.
  • Use computer systems, stand or walk for extended periods, handle objects
  • Process guest check-ins, assign rooms, handle payments, coordinate with housekeeping
  • Anticipate sold-out situations, block rooms, find alternative accommodations
  • Document pertinent information, resolve guest issues, follow up on requests
  • Balance receipts, count bank at beginning and end of shift, process various payment types
  • Assist with problem payments, print credit check reports, follow finance procedures
