Bakery Production Manager

Mother’s Bakery is seeking a suitable fulltime candidate to join its team in the position of Bakery Production Manager.

Main Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of production.
• Ensure product quality consistently meets predetermined standards and specifications.
• Manage work flow to prevent any unnecessary associated costs.
• Ensure 100% order accuracy; ensure delivery schedules meet set goals and demands.
• Make continuous effort to reduce overall operating costs without negatively affecting product quality.

• Enforce the use of all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety regulations.
• Manage staff complement of 30 individuals.

Key Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Sound knowledge of Bakery/Production Operations.
• Strong production, dispatching and scheduling capabilities.
• High level of initiative and problem solving skills.
• Ability to motivate team members and get results in a fast paced environment.
• Willingness to work on weekends, public holidays and late shifts.

Educational Qualifications

• Bsc Degree in Food Service Management or equivalent studies.
• A Minimum of 3 years experience in a management role.

OR

• Tertiary level Diploma or Certificate in Food Service Management or related field.
• A minimum of 5 years experience as a Manager and /or Supervisor.
