JOB SUMMARY:

The manager of consumer insights and business intelligence will work closely with senior leaders in region, to identify the most critical questions that impact business growth, and leverage quantitative research, qualitative research and analytics to assimilate relevant customer and market insights.  He/ she will be a highly analytical, experienced marketing leader who is passionate about data and looking for an opportunity to shape the strategy of the business via insights and feedback.

 

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with key functional stakeholders to identify most relevant business questions, prioritize projects, and align market research plans with strategy and objectives.
  • Influence executive-level business decisions through in-depth business, consumer and market analysis
  • Oversee a variety of primary research projects (qualitative and quantitative) from inception to presentation.
  • Support the development of a comprehensive data mining strategy of key internal data to assist improving the delivery of customer expectations. 
  • Synthesize primary research insights with secondary sources and behavioral data to develop strategic insights and actionable recommendations.
  • Manage vendor relationships including: selection, pricing negotiations, adoption and onboarding.
  • Develop best practices across the organization including methods, measurements, and practices.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 10 years of progressive experience in data collection, mining and insights generation
  • A BA or B.Sc. degree in business, marketing, Management, Social science or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Proven ability to use consumer/professional insights to identify strategic opportunities for business growth and drive business results.
  • Ability to combine deep methodology expertise with practical experience to quickly assess and develop research recommendations to solve current business questions/challenges.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS CONTINUED:

  • Passion for innovative customer insights techniques, constantly looking for new tools and methods to fuel customer centered marketing and product development.
  • Ability to understand, integrate and synthesize primary research, customer behaviors, and secondary research to form insightful observations and clear, actionable business implications.
  • Skilled at developing strategic partnerships with senior stakeholders and strong working relationships with cross-functional analytics and user experience research teams.
  • Deep knowledge of quantitative research such as brand tracking, loyalty, segmentation, advertising effectiveness, pricing, and concept testing.
  • Proficient in advanced statistical techniques such as conjoint, regression, factor and cluster analysis.
  • Proven experience with online and in-person qualitative research such as ethnography, customer feedback, consumer fueled innovation, and social listening.
  • Highly analytical thinker with a passion for informing effective marketing campaigns and amazing product experiences.
  • The ability to distill research findings into high fidelity, concise, and compelling presentations, data visualizations, or info graphics.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Engaging presentation skills that inspire confidence.
