| What is United Way?
United Way Trinidad & Tobago is an affiliate of United Way International registered as an independent non-governmental organization (NGO) locally. All resources mobilized i.e. financial, human and physical are directed through volunteer community charitable organizations to improve the lives of vulnerable citizens.
OUR VISION To be the moving force in developing and sustaining a civil society in Trinidad & Tobago, in which every individual fulfils his/her social responsibility of promoting human well-being. UNITED WAY IS A COMMUNITY COLLABORATOR We are committed to working with NGOs to help build sound communities and improve the quality of life in Trinidad & Tobago. United Way is a community collaborator that brings together companies, individuals, non-profit organizations and others who best address community needs. OUR SIGNATURE METHOD OF RAISING FUNDS Our signature method of raising funds is through salary deductions from employees. Many companies also match the donations of the employee donors. With the multiplier effect the Community Fund grows and major help can be provided to well governed organizations so they can get help to the wider community. |
