UWI-ROYTEC’s Profile
UWI-ROYTEC is a private tertiary level institution governed by the University of the West Indies, St. Augustine. ROYTEC was launched in 1987 by RBTT Bank and in 2006 RBTT-RBC transferred the management and academic operations to UWI St. Augustine. UWI continues to support the philosophy of ROYTEC which focuses on the seamless transition of young adults from secondary school to tertiary education, the development of teachers to support national objectives of creating a knowledge intensive economy, and corporate training interventions.
Our programmes portfolio includes business administration, teacher education, information technology, real estate management, entrepreneurship, project management and financial services. We are one of the leaders in the development of indigenous and industry relevant programmes at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Further, we are supported through academic exchange by our overseas partners, the University of New Brunswick and Franklin University.
In addition to earning a reputation as a preferred tertiary level institution, UWI-ROYTEC has an outstanding track record of helping companies achieve transformative results through its corporate training programmes.
Our passion for service excellence, people centredness and lifelong learning is unparalled and we firmly believe that no one understands the pivotal role that on-going staff training plays in a company’s success, than us!
