The Bermuda office is looking for a highly motivated Senior Manager or Director to join our Investment Management team within our International Tax practice in Bermuda. Bermuda can offer you a world-class experience exposing you to some of the most challenging and innovative products in today's markets.  Our International Tax practice includes niche areas such as Hedge Funds, Private Equity, and Insurance/Reinsurance.

Role responsibilities

• Using previous extensive experience in accounting and taxation, provide compliance and consulting services to US and foreign partnerships, corporations and individual clients

• Supervise assignments by the professional staff serving as Associates and Senior Associates both in Bermuda and The British Virgin Islands

• Be familiar with the tax consulting process and the professionalism necessary for the effective diagnosis, development and implementation of solutions for our clients' tax needs

• Seize the opportunity to develop and pursue creative strategies while using the latest technologies

Our growing alternative investment client base includes hedge funds and funds of funds. Our clients predominantly use U.S. GAAP or IFRS for financial statement reporting. The successful candidate should possess the following attributes: 

• CPA, CA, ACA or law degree or the equivalent Tax experience

• A minimum of 8 years public accounting experience or equivalent in law firm or industry experience completing investment management US tax returns
• A minimum of 3 years in a managerial positions
• Big 4 experience (an advantage)
• Interest in developing industry specialty in the offshore financial markets — investment funds and possibly insurance companies 
• Extensive technical experience
• Excellent research skills, strong written and verbal communication skills required
• Excellent project management and presentation skills required
• High degree of competence with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook & Go Systems
• Ability to travel required
