Our Client is seeking to fill the position of Trade Marketing Manager
TRADE MARKETING MANAGER
Job Purpose
The incumbent will be required to develop, implement and evaluate strategic trade marketing, merchandising and channel plans for the Company, with a view to expanding market share across product lines.
Major Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
*Working closely with Division Heads, Marketing Managers and Managing Director to develop and implement detailed channel, merchandising and trade marketing plans based on brand strategies to achieve defined objectives
* Developing and ordering Point Of Sale and promotional material
* Using guidelines set by Marketing, works closely with Trade Marketing team to develop and update brand Planograms
* Paying regular visits to key accounts to ensure the team is offering efficient and effective service. Around 50% of the time should be spent on the trade.
* Working closely with Sales, Marketing and Trade Marketing teams to develop promotion programmes by brand, assisting with proposals and sign-off on all promotions conducted.
* Monitoring trends of Company’s brands, categories and defined trade channels and keeps Trade Marketing, Marketing and Sales teams fully informed at all times of objectives, progress and future plans, in order that in-market activities can be implemented
* Managing allocated brand support budgets under his/her control
* Assisting with training and development of the Trade Marketing and Merchandising Teams
* Briefing Research Agency as required to gather necessary channel and shopper data
* Liaising with Marketing and working closely with Trade Marketing and Sales teams, as well as key customers to develop designs for display units for both the on-trade and off-trade to constantly improve visual standards
* Evaluating requests for promotions from customers and assists team with implementing activity if necessary
* Performing other duties that may be required to enhance the operations of the Company.
Knowledge and Experience:
*Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field
* A minimum of five (5) years Sales or Marketing experience in an FMCG environment with at least three (3) years at a managerial level.
* Strong, proven trade relationships
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
