- The Travel Foundation is an independent charity working to ensure tourism benefits people and the environment in destinations. We work with tourism decision makers – those who can help us to make changes. This includes destination authorities, tourism associations, tour operators, local businesses and local communities.Through our activities we aim to maximise the benefits tourism can bring to a destination. In practice, this means we bring people together to find practical solutions. We help embed sustainable tourism principles into policies and standards to create lasting change across a destination.
