The Power Generation Company of Trinidad & Tobago

PowerGen was established on 24 December 1994 with the divestment of the generation assets of T&TEC. PowerGen owns and operates the country's three (3) main power plants at Port of Spain, Point Lisas and Penal. Twenty – one (21) of its generating units are gas fired, with the generating units at Port of Spain Power Plant capable of operating either by oil or gas firing.
