Technical Sales Representative

Salary range: TT$8,000 - $10,000 monthly Plus commissions

 

We are looking for a highly energetic and enthusiastic person to develop existing and new customers for commercial service products and solutions.

 

CORE FUNCTIONS:

  1. Promotes/ secures orders from existing and prospective customers through a relationship-based approach.
  2. Demonstrates products and services to existing/potential customers and assists them in selecting those best suited to their needs.

 

DETAILS OF FUNCTION:

  1. Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers in the assigned territory/market segment to generate new business for the organization’s products/services.
  2. Makes telephone calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers.
  3. Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential.
  4. Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
  5. Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  6. Coordinates sales effort with marketing, sales management, accounting, logistics and technical service groups.
  7. Creates and manages a customer value plan for existing customers highlighting profile, share and value opportunities.
  8. Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the Return on Time Investment for the territory/segment.
  9. Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services.
  10. Keeps abreast of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas.
  11. Prepares sales proposals, cost estimates and pricing quotations on new work and coordinates the preparation of cost estimates on project continuations.
  12. Performs tests and conducts surveys on competitive products in order to determine the need for product alterations or the development of new products.
  13. Identifies and implements tools and resources to assist in sales efforts

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  1. A Degree preferably in Business or Engineering, 3+ years’ technical sales experience or 5 to 7+ years of HVAC experience strongly desired.

 

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  1. Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  2. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ability to learn new programs;
  3. Good organizational and interpersonal skills required;
  4. Build strong relationships with internal and external customers;
  5. Ability to work well in fast-paced professional office environment;
  6. Must be a self-starter; motivated, team focused and results driven.

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Must have vehicle in good working order
  2. Ability to travel regionally, must have a valid passport
  3. Relationships with the architectural, engineering and design build community a plus
