JOB SUMMARY:This Technical Assistant is a fundamental part of the internal lab and will be responsible for executing technical functional tests on DIRECTV Installation Equipment. This role will be required to submit basic reports on results of all tests performed.

Technical Assistant – Reverse Logistics

JOB SUMMARY:This Technical Assistant is a fundamental part of the internal lab and will be responsible for executing technical functional tests on DIRECTV Installation Equipment. This role will be required to submit basic reports on results of all tests performed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform electronic, functional tests on equipment returned to the Warehouse.
• Carry out quality control tests on equipment received into the Warehouse.
• Recycling of Smart Cards using basic electronic equipment.
• Prepare reports on tests performed in the lab related to each process carried out.
• Assist with preparing inventory for dispatch to the Repair Centre.
• Assist with recording inventory by scanning sorted equipment returned from the Repair Centre.

Miscellaneous Requirements:

• Must be able and willing to lift equipment (<50 lbs) as part of the job function.
• Able to use a handheld barcode scanner.

Educational Requirements:

• Technical Certification in Electronics Technology.
• A minimum of five (5) CXC passes two (2) of which must be English and Mathematics.
• 2-3 years' of progressive experience in an operational nature relating to a technical laboratory.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Excel is a must.

Knowledge Requirements:

• Must possess very strong technical skills
• Techniques of electronic laboratories.
• Knowledge of electronic equipment.
• Knowledge of laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Skills in the field of Logistics of handling parts.
