TYE Manufacturing Co. Ltd. was formed in 1984 with the purchase of the assets of GTE Sylvania. TYE is located in Trinidad in the West Indies. The Manufacturing and Administration facilities span an area over 40,000 square feet. TYE presently employs 150 employees. The company manufactures and distributes a range of products for the distribution, control and measurement of electricity including Switchgear, Panelboards, Meter Centers, Lighting Fixtures and Electrical accessories. TYE's products are exported throughout the region, including North America. Some of our trading partners include Groupe Schneider [Europe], Square D [U. S. A.] and Bel Products Inc. [Canada].

Total Quality, LEAN Manufacturing, Customer Service and Manufacturing Flexibility are the key strategies to TYE’s success. We enhance our competitive edge with the use of the latest technologies and systems in the industry. Our Engineering Department continuously designs and reviews the features and styles of our product lines, seeking elegant and creative harmonies of form and function.

In 1992, production was enhanced through the introduction of CAD/ CAM and CNC technology. Further, in 1995 we continued our installation of automated systems with the introduction of an Automated Pretreatment and Powder Coating System. TYE’s most recent acquisition in 2006 is a 6-axis robot welder. Over the past five years, TYE has reported a steady growth in both local and export sales and will continue to penetrate new markets in the future.
