Chief Technology & Information Officer @ TSTT
Summary
The CTIO is the Automation and Innovation champion and driver of TSTT. The CTIO will be responsible for ensuring that Technology’s strategic direction is aligned to and supports the business strategy by integrating company processes with the appropriate technologies. The CTIO will be responsible for Technology Lifecycle Management in the organisation and will aim at transforming the Technology Group from an operational focus to a customer-centric focus.
The CTIO will work with management, ICT team members and external partners to ensure that the ICT infrastructure and digital assets are working efficiently and effectively. The incumbent maintains existing enterprise systems, while providing direction in all technology-related issues in support of information operations and core company values. The CTIO is the final arbiter of ICT management and advises the Corporate Leadership Team about the need for timely investments in ICT.
Education /Qualifications
- An MBA or a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business. Telecommunication/ICTs will be an asset.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Information/Communications/ Technology, related Natural Science or Management.
- Post Graduate Qualification in Project Management will be an asset.
Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a Senior Management capacity in a Telecommunications environment or similar environment.
- Experience or certification in Telecommunications/ Law related discipline will be an asset
- A proven track record of developing and successfully leading the execution of major strategic initiatives in comparable organisations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Vision/Strategy Development and Execution
- Lead the Division’s Innovation, Growth and Organisational Capacity
- Customer-Stakeholder Management with both internal and external customers, Regulatory Agencies, vendors, business partners and the Board of Directors
- Financial Stewardship in accordance with the Strategic Plan and developing annual budgets
- Internal Business Processes critical review and re-engineering to optimise efficiency, productivity, cost-effectiveness, innovativeness and process integrity.

- Performance management, employee development and team-leadership.
