Summary
The CIO will be the primary driver of Automation and Innovation in the organisation. The CIO will ensure that the ICT infrastructure and digital assets are working efficiently and effectively. The incumbent maintains existing Enterprise Systems, while providing direction in all ICT-related issues in support of information operations and core company values. The CIO advises the Corporate Leadership Team about the need for timely investments in ICT.
Education /Qualifications
- An MBA or a Master’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Business or Telecommunication.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Information/Communications/ Technology, related Natural Science or Management.
- Post Graduate Qualification in Project Management will be an asset.
Experience
- Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in a Senior Management capacity in a Telecommunications environment or similar environment.
- Experience or certification in Telecommunications/ Law related discipline will be an asset
- A proven track record of developing and successfully leading the execution of major strategic initiatives in comparable organisations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Vision/Strategy Development and Execution
- Lead the Division’s Innovation, Growth and Organisational Capacity
- Customer-Stakeholder Management with internal customers, regulatory authorities, Executive Management and the Board of Directors
- Financial Stewardship in developing annual budget, managing financial reporting and executing capital expenditure plans
- Internal Business Processes critical review and re-engineering to optimise efficiency, productivity, cost-effectiveness, innovativeness and process integrity
