System analyst (L1) portfolio entails:
A System Analyst is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware, software and related infrastructure. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the organization and its infrastructure and ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values and the enablement of staff members.
DUTIES:
Key Responsibilities:
- Defines application problem by conferring with clients; evaluating procedures and processes.
- Develops solution by preparing and evaluating alternative workflow solutions.
- Controls solution by establishing specifications; coordinating production with programmers.
- Validates results by testing programs.
- Ensures operation by training client personnel; providing support.
- Provides reference by writing documentation.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Job Requirements:
Communication Skills such as:
- WRITING: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing by use of various forms of business communication via emails, facsimile, letters, reports, memorandums etc.
- SPEAKING: Ability to communicate clearly to all stakeholders (peers, contractors, clients and other staff members).
- ACTIVE LISTENING: ability to listen and demonstrate understanding of the concerns of stakeholders.
- KNOWLEDGE OF: MS-DOS, Windows XP/Vista/7, Server 2003/2008, UNIX, Linux, VMWare, MAC OSX/Leopard, MySQL, SQL 2008, DNS, SMTP, PHP, HTML, PBX telephony systems and CRM 2011, Software Design, Software Documentation, Software Testing, Software Maintenance, Software Requirements, Software Architecture and Software Development Process.

- Identify, analyze and troubleshoot a wide range of complex technical computer- and network-related problems effectively.

Qualifications & Experience
- B.Sc. in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 1-3 years' experience performing similar role / duties.
- Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA) or any other Database certification will be an asset.
