System Administrator/Technician
Job Summary:
Responsible for delivering outstanding technical service support. Ensures customer satisfaction and loyalty by
assisting and resolving a wide variety of technical requests, inquiries and complaints.
Duties and Responsibilities:
May perform one or more of the following:
PC user support, new hire systems setups, and desktop/laptop software evaluations and upgrades
Provides quick response for all users and performs end user training when necessary
Installs and repairs microcomputer hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, printers and disk drives
Assists in determining suitable software to meet user requirements
Troubleshoots software and hardware failures and identifies network problems when they relate to personal computers
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems
Knowledge with Microsoft Office products as well as troubleshooting experience and
understanding of e-mail
Provides technical on-site maintenance and support for new and existing systems.
This job may include any aspect of field support, and is not limited to system hardware and software, PC's, and IP networking Strong knowledge of Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012 inclusive of Active directory,
DNS, DHCP, etc to provide support for these systems
All other duties as assigned
Ideal candidate should possess the following:
Bachelors degree in Information Technology
Minimum 3 years experience working with
Windows 2003-2012 servers
and Windows Active Directory
Knowledge of HyperV or VMWare an asset.
Minimum 2 years PC system experience in a LAN environment
Proficient in MS office software
Excellent customer service skills
