Who are we?
Sierra Services are currently involved in a multi-million dollar Telecommunications project in the Caribbean. Over the past number of months we have been hiring a large professional expatriate workforce across a number of disciplines. Due to expansion into new markets we are requiring a further number of Telecommunications Construction professionals to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable global experience.
Job overview
Daily oversight and management of multiple Fibre Splicer crews working on Fibre To The Home rollout and adherence to quality and H&S standards and ensuring client satisfaction with services provided by Sierra
What you will be responsible for?
- Overall responsibility for all splicing carried out for FTTH project
- Daily supervision of all splicing crews working on the project
- Random quality audits conducted on the field
- Ensure all splicing activity carried out is as per design specification
- Ensuring splicing activity is in line with overall work programmes
- Daily onsite supervision of all Construction crews on site
- Allocate daily workload to crews
- Monitor completion throughout the day
- Conduct health and safety audits
- Front line response to Client queries and complaints
- Compile daily and weekly costing reports and timesheets
- Adhere to all Health and Safety procedures
What Knowledge, Skills & Abilities do you require?
- 2-3 years Supervisory experience
- 5 years experience in working on live fibre optic networks
- Ability to communicate effectively and command respect
- Computer literate - intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Reliable timekeeping and attendance
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary
- Flexible to travel as necessary
- Ability to represent the company in a professional manner at all times
