Specialist Medical Officer - Psychiatry (FT)

The successful candidate would be required to work as part of the Psychiatric team
in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients at the Scarborough General
Hospital. The successful candidate would also be required to provide
emergency and elective care to patients coming with Psychiatric problems.
In addition, the work involves the conduct of clinical audits, outpatient
clinics, elective surgery and the supervision of junior doctors.

CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE

Post-graduate qualifications in this field of study (Psychiatry) or its equivalent from a recognized, accredited institution.

Minimum five (5) years post-graduate experience in specialist field.

Recognition Statement from the Accreditation Council of Trinidad and Tobago (ACTT).

Full unrestricted registration with the Medical Board of Trinidad and Tobago with
specialist status in the field of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.

Successful completion of appropriate internship period at an accredited hospital.
